BARS-1A machines are designated for cutting round logs into high quality edged lumber.
SCOPE OF APPLICATION
The machine is to be used at woodworking factories to manufacture high-quality lumber, glued beam, edge-glued panel, and window, parquet, molding and furniture workpieces.
The machine consists of the following principal components:
a fixed machine compartment containing two mutually perpendicular circular saw blades, capable of longitudinal motion both horizontally and vertically
a rail track beneath the machine compartment
a mobile saw log carriage mounted on the track and moved by an electric drive with continuous speed control
control system with an electrical cabinet and control panel
Productivity of the machine is 1.5–2 m3 per hour (depending on the size of the workpiece and the diameter of the log).
The rail track in the basic configuration is 18 m long, and the machine can fit within 3-m high premises 20 m x 6 m (120 m2).

High reliability, easy maintenance and capability to operate in the intensive manufacturing cycle
At present Bars machines are the only machines in Russia to provide the greatest lumber yield of quarter-sawn and semi-quarter-sawn lumber from a single log
